The first release on exciting new imprint Family Affair Records, operated by Raj Chaudhuri (Livin’ Proof / NTS / Boiler Room) lands in the shape of Yondo’s first EP of 12″ Edits. A familiar face working incognito, Yondo’s Edits EP has received much praise from Kutmah, Nosaj Thing, Toddla T, Nathan Fake and many more of his contemporaries, plus in truly fitting edit style, this 12″ is strictly for the vinyl DJ only crews and as such, is sure to not hang around for long…

Each track finds Yondo re-imagining some of the deepest club staples to ever be lifted from some scratchy well rinsed wax and dropped into an MPC. We can hear echoes of 80s bombs from Mary Jane Girls & Evelyn Champagne King on one side, while 90s R&B-sides by SWV & Lucy Pearl get a look in on the flip. The key to Yondo’s success is the way that these classic trax have new life breathed into them, familiar jams kept within their essence yet updated and re-birthed for 2018 dancefloors.
