The year was 1947, and Italy’s most-renowned high-end luxury brand had a quandry: how to continue delivering high-end products during a leather shortage. Their solution? To equip their new bags with distinctive bamboo handles and a turnlock closure. Easily imported from Japan, bamboo proved to be incredibly durable, lightweight and stylish. To this day, the bamboo bag is a hot commodity. 

But those bags will easily run you $5,000. We thought we could do better, so we asked our Italian designers if they could beat the competition while still offering a quality product. The result is our Bamboo Crocodile Bag. Made in Italy, this handbag features a crocodile-embossed 100% leather exterior.
